AAGC Conference 
Alabama’s annual conference, held in late September each year, brings together gifted/talented teachers and coordinators, classroom teachers, school administrators, parents, pre-service teachers, and college/university faculty to explore current issues in gifted education. Our conference brings nationally known leaders in the field of gifted education as well as faculty from Alabama’s college/university gifted programs, and Alabama’s gifted education teachers together to provide three days of professional development.  Sessions include keynote speeches, one hour sessions on a variety of practical strategies for teachers and parents, and hands-on half-day workshops. Vendors offer a variety of materials and information for gifted educators and parents.

The annual conference schedule  and venue for the next few years is listed below. Please make your plans to attend this year. You’ll leave with a head full of ideas and strategies to  help you meet the needs of your gifted learners!

2016 Online Conference Registration - ends 8/31/16

One Day Registration (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday): $125
Two Day Registration (Wednesday/Thursday or Thursday/Friday): $175
Three Day Registration (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday): $225
*Lunch included for online registration for each day attended
*Conference Fee includes 1 year of AAGC membership

On-Site Registration – Add $25 to rates listed above
Purchase orders will not be accepted, nor lunch provided for On-Site Registration

Payment forms accepted:
* Debit or Credit cards (via Paypal website, a Paypal account is NOT required)

* School/district Purchase orders
- Must be received by August 31, 2016 to allow for payment prior to conference
- A digital copy may be emailed to to speed up processing.
- Final payment for purchase orders should be received prior to conference

If your school system needs teachers to complete a paper copy of the AAGC registration form, for internal processing, here is the form.  This form is for use within your school system, and should NOT be mailed to AAGC.  
The only exception is for On-site Registration.  Attendees may bring a completed copy of this form, along with a check or school credit card for On-site registration.

* When using school or district purchase orders, please send a copy of the registration confirmation for each person covered by the purchase order. The registration confirmation will be emailed to the registrant as soon as online registration is submitted.

Dear Vendors,

Our AAGC Exhibitor/Vendor Contract and App Contract are now online forms with online payment options. You will be able to complete your contract and payment online using Paypal. You are not required to have a Paypal account. Payment options include payment by debit or credit card without having to have a Paypal account, After submitting your form and payment, you should see an on-screen confirmation message, and you will also receive a confirmation email.

AAGC wants YOU to contribute to our 2016 Annual Conference at McWane Science Center! Last year we introduced our new conference app. It was a huge success so we plan to roll out this year’s app with additional features to make your conference experience interactive as well as informative.

Selection Criteria: We would like to have a varied program for conference attendees.  We especially want high quality teacher-friendly sessions. Think about units/lessons you have taught as well as instructional strategies, resources, or best practices for gifted learners. If submitting a concept-based unit for consideration, you may be asked to send your unit for the program committee to review. We anticipate a large number of parents, so we are seeking parent-friendly sessions, also. All sessions are 45 minutes. Most rooms accommodate approximately 30 attendees. If your session is accepted, you will need to upload your handouts prior to the conference so that they can be made available to attendees on our conference app
