Join us to learn more about the Jack Kent Cooke Young
Scholars program. The JKC program is a selective five-year, pre-college scholarship for high-performing 7th grade students with financial need. Educational advisors help students maximize the high school experience and prepare them to thrive in college. Information about the Dr. Martin D. Jenkins Scholar Award for 6th through 12th graders will also be presented. Parents, make plans to join us to help prepare your middle/high schooler for academic success and scholarship opportunities.
Tammie Stewart has worked as the Outreach Manager at Northwestern's Center for Talent Development for 20 years. Specifically, she assists, supports, and informs students, families, educators, and organizational leaders working with families from mid- to low-income backgrounds about the opportunities provided through the Jack Kent CookeYoung Scholars Program. She also connects families to other educational resources and programs that will help their students develop their talents fully and prepare for college and career
Dr. Erinn Fears Floyd is Founder and CEO of Equity and Excellence in Education, LLC. With over 34 years in education, Dr. Floyd has served as a classroom teacher, Gifted and School Improvement Specialist, Literacy Specialist, District Gifted Education Coordinator, Assistant Principal, State Director of Gifted Education for the Alabama Department of Education, and Director of Professional Learning for the National Association for Gifted Children. She and her husband are the proud parents of two gifted children, a son, (19) and daughter (15).
